The John G. Diefenbaker International Airport in Saskatoon served the second most number of passengers in the facility’s history last year.
According to the 2017 Annual Report, passenger demand hit close to one million-and-a-half.
While that represents an increase of almost one per cent, the Airport Authority’s Stephen Maybury says the increase for the first quarter of this year was close to three per cent.
Saskatoon was also ranked as the best airport in Canada for getting passengers out on time for a third straight year and was third in the country for service quality.
Maybury says they are working with Flair Airlines for the June launch of their service out of Saskatoon.
