Neither team has anything to play for, standings-wise, as the Saskatchewan Rush host the Calgary Roughnecks Saturday.
The 13-4 Rush will finish first in the West Division and first overall in the National Lacrosse League while 8-9 Calgary will finish third in the West and play a semi-final game next weekend at Colorado.
“Obviously (the game) doesn’t mean anything in the standings, but (the Roughnecks) are our biggest rival and they’re always a hard team to play against,” said Saskatchewan General Manager and Head Coach Derek Keenan. “We want to be playing well going into the playoffs.”
Game time Saturday is 7:30 at SaskTel Centre. 98-COOL’s broadcast starts at 6:30 with the “Rush Hour” pre-game show. Meanwhile, tickets are now on sale for the May 10 West Division final playoff game against either Colorado or Calgary.
