The operator of Saskatoon’s Airport says the Federal Government made the right decision to shelve the idea of privatization.

Stephen Maybury of the Saskatoon Airport Authority says that means they can continue to put profits back into the operation and toward regional economic as well as job creation.

Maybury feels making the airport shareholder driven would mean a fundamental change in how they do things.

Ottawa was considering putting the money from the sale of airports into the development of new infrastructure.
