It’s my Parting Shot my Monday Musings…
The news from the R-C-M-P over the weekend that the truck-trailer unit involved in the Humboldt Broncos’ bus tragedy was in the intersection of Highways 35 and 335 at the time of the untimely and unfortunate crash is a “No shoot Sherlock” revelation for many who are searching for answers as to why the tragedy happened. However, in today’s day and age of fast results and immediate reaction, I urge all to exercise patience and let the process continue at the pace it’s on…so that it is done right!
It’s fitting, in my humble opinion, that the Canalta Cup final is going to a Game 7 tomorrow night! Best of luck to, both, the Estevan Bruins and Hawks…and may the best team prevail in Nipawin, no matter who!
Seeing Chase Wouters knock a loose puck into the Swiss net on behalf of Team Canada at the World Under-18 Hockey Championship leads me to hope that the Saskatoon Blades centre can move up on some N-H-L team’s ranking list for this year’s Draft. The 18-year-old Lloydminster product is showing off the work ethic that should make him a Blades’ captain sooner than later and a future pro in the big league! Either watch it live tomorrow morning or P-V-R the game and check out #22 for Canada against Sweden!
That’s my Parting Shot, I’m Les Lazaruk…
