Inspiration, overcoming challenging and being a positive influence. That’s what a youth conference in Saskatoon is all about on Friday and Saturday at Elim Church. INSPIRE YXE is a free event for youth 12 to 19, but parents, caregivers and youth leaders are also welcome. Spokesperson for the event, Kaitlyn Cey says over 700 people have registered so far with fun sessions and entertainment, and also sessions on social issues and challenges that pertain to youth. The conference features motivational speakers including a young woman who lost her right arm to cancer, so she learned to paint with her left hand and is now selling her works with proceeds to the Canadian Cancer Society. One of the adult workshops educates on indicators that a child might be considering suicide. You can register for INSPIRE YXE by clicking here.
