The province has allocated nearly 600 of the over one thousand child care centre spaces that were committed to, through the Canada-Saskatchewan Early Learning Child Care Agreement. The agreement provides Saskatchewan with nearly $41 million to improve early learning and child care over three years. 20 organizations across 10 Saskatchewan communities will be receiving spaces. Regina comes away the big winner in this with 342 spaces across 8 organizations. Saskatoon gets 39 spaces. Prince Alberts gets 56. More licensed child care centre spaces will be allocated later this spring.
