A goalie stick was left at an entry to Edmonton’s Rogers Place as hundreds filed into the building with the ticker sign reading HumboldtStrong. A memorial service was held Tuesday for four players from the Humboldt Broncos junior hockey team.
Jaxon Joseph of Edmonton, Parker Tobin of Stony Plain, and Logan Hunter and Stephen Wack — both of St Albert — were among 16 people who died after a transport truck and the Humboldt team’s bus collided in Saskatchewan on April 6th. Team President Kevin Garinger spoke about the players and the impact they had on the community.
The Saskatchewan Health Authority reports that 9 people involved in the Humboldt Broncos tragic bus crash remain in hospital, with 2 in critical condition. (with files from the Canadian Press)
