Here is an alert from Environment Canada we hope not to hear in mid-April: a special weather statement has been issued for snow over portions of southern Saskatchewan.
A narrow band with the heaviest snow of 5 to 10 cm includes Rockglen and Assiniboia in the south, through Moose Jaw, Elbow, Saskatoon, Prince Albert, Spiritwood and Meadowlake.
If traveling, keep in mind the visibilities and road conditions could change suddenly from one area to the next.
The southeast wind could cause blowing snow, reducing visibility.
As of 11 this morning (Tues), the Highway Hotline was reporting winter conditions for south and central Saskatchewan on the western side.
