One Saskatchewan team is still alive while the other can’t win a Canadian Under-18 Curling Championship.
Skylar Ackerman’s Moose Jaw quartet split a pair of games Thursday to close out the preliminary round-robin. They blasted the Yukon 14-0 before falling 4-3 in an extra end to host New Brunswick, leaving Saskatchewan with a 4-2 record and third place in Pool A in the girls division. On the boys side, Jayden Bindig’s Wadena foursome whipped the Northwest Territories 15-0 for their first win in four games. They are finished up their preliminary schedule, edging Ontario 5-4 to finish round-robin play with a 2-3 log.
