If you are looking for inspiration, the Rotary Badge Shield Star Dinner & Citizen Awards is tomorrow night (Thursday) with stories of everyday citizens who have put the good of the community before themselves.
Rotary spokesperson, Bob Anderson, explains that the Badge Award is presented to a local citizen by the Saskatoon Police Service.
The Shield Award is presented by the Fire Department and the Star Award by Medavie Health Services.
Inspiration will also come from the guest speaker, Anderson says.
Kevin Lamoureux is the education lead for the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation.
Proceeds from this annual fundraiser go towards the Rotary Clubs’ Restorative Action Program in 9 high schools, where counsellors help troubled youth to deal with their problems and build healthy relationships.
