A long-standing, popular restaurant is no more.  Lang’s Cafe on Broad Street in downtown Regina was destroyed in an early morning fire Wednesday.

Flames could be seen shooting out of the building where the Cafe is housed when firefighters arrived around 6 a.m. Regina Fire Department assistant chief Dave Kinvig says once the collapsed building cools off they will try to get inside to determine the cause, but if it isn’t safe, it may remain a mystery.

Businesses on either side of the burned building are also closed and will be for the immediate future. (CKRM)
