An adjunct Biology professor at the University of Saskatchewan who is also a research scientist with the Science and Technology Branch of Environment and Climate Change Canada is receiving accolades.
Dr. Ray Alisauskas has been presented with the Wetland Conservation Achievement Award in the research/technical category from Ducks Unlimited Canada.
The wetland conservation group calls Dr. Alisauskas one of the most respected goose, sea duck and waterfowl population ecologists in the world.
His long-term work includes the challenge of over abundant white geese, which has meant difficult management decisions in both the United States and Canada.
