Folkfest
Saskatoon's Folkfest is back August 14th - 16th. It's a great way to try out food and entertainment from different cultures at pavilions throughout the city. This year's theme is "One World – Many Faces". Passports will be available July 20th for you to go and visit each pavilion to discover the unique traditions of other countries, shop for unique souvenirs and watch the spectacular folk dancers, talented singers and musicians. Walk To Cure Diabetes
Be a hero for the cure - join the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's "Walk To Cure Diabetes" sponsored by CJWW. It's Sunday May 25th starting at Victoria School on Broadway Avenue. Meet John Chick, a star defensive player with the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Registration at 10am and the walk starts at 11:30. Relay For Life
The Canadian Cancer Society Relay For Life is 6pm to 6am starting Friday, May 30th at Diefenbaker Park. Get together as a team of 10. CJWW is a sponsor, and has a team entered as well. The first lap is the Survivors' Victory lap. There's a luminary ceremony at dusk. The luminaries light the way around the track - and each is in dedication to a survivor or someone who has lost the battle. Relay For Life is 12 hours of celebration, tribute, food, fun and trying to make Cancer....History!
