Temperatures plunged near -40 in parts of the province last night but the Crown power company says no record use for power was reported.
SaskPower’s Jordan Jackle says they’re not expecting any to be set over the next few days either.
He points out that generally when they see a new record set it happens over the supper hour when people get home from work, turn on lights, start making supper and plug in their vehicles.
Jackle says they have seen records set for the past number of years. So when the mercury does drop it is definitely something they track. (CJGX)
