Saskatchewan New Democrats are calling for an expanded investigation into free accommodations given to the province’s Minister of Finance in Pinehouse.
Donna Harpauer says she thought the bills were being picked up by a friend and not the village.
She says she will reimburse the village but the opposition party isn’t satisfied.
Ethics and Democracy critic David Forbes alleges the Sask Party shouldn’t be surprised given its history with the village.
The NDP says the Sask Party has disclosed 32-hundred dollars in donations from the village since 2015.
The province ordered an investigation after the privacy commissioner’s report recommended an inquiry into why Pinehouse wasn’t complying with provincial law on providing access to public records.
