Regina police have charged a 47-year-old man with attempted murder after finding an injured man Wednesday morning.
Police say the 53-year-old victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries after being assaulted with a weapon and Police allege the suspect threatened to kill a 40 year old man who left the scene in the 19-hundred block of Montreal Street.
Ioan Danut Pop of Regina who is also charged with uttering threats made his first appearance today in Regina Provincial Court.
Meanwhile a 27-year-old Regina man has appeared in court on charges stemming from a vehicle theft and hit-and-run incident.
Police say they used a spike belt to stop the stolen truck yesterday on the 13-hundred block of Broadway Avenue.
The driver fled and was arrested shortly after while officers recovered stolen items and a weapon from the vehicle.
Charges against Thomas Kenneth Chartrand include possession of a weapon.
