A North Battleford man is facing charges following an incident Saturday morning in which a vehicle evaded police prior to colliding with a parked car. Around 3:45, Saskatoon Police were notified of a vehicle traveling eastbound into Saskatoon. The driver refused to stop for the RCMP and was driving in a dangerous manner. Officers spotted the vehicle once it entered on 22nd Street West and followed it at a distance. A tire deflation device was then deployed and was successful in disabling the vehicle. The two occupants refused to stop and lost control of the vehicle resulting in a collision with a parked car on Avenue U North. The two then fled on foot. The air support unit was able to track down one suspect. The 32 year man was found in possession of a knife and is facing multiple charges including possession of a prohibited weapon. Police are continuing to investigate and are still attempting to locate the second suspect.
