Today, November 13th, marks the official launch of the 35th annual Secret Santa campaign in Saskatoon. Once again the Secret Santa Foundation will be raising money and toy donations to fill Christmas food and toy hampers for 800 less fortunate families that have children under the age of 14. Today Mayor Charlie Clark, along with the carolling firefighters, our Title Sponsor Saskatoon Co-op plus other valuable sponsors, begin the campaign at City Hall with a media conference at noon where the giant Christmas tree will be lit and Santa’s sleigh will be displayed through the season where people can drop off new, unwrapped toys suitable for a child under 14. There are other drop-off locations around the city listed on the Secret Santa website, Saskatoonsecretsanta.ca, where cash donations can also be made. I encourage you to check out the website and help us make Christmas 2018 that much brighter for families with young children who do not have as much as we do.
