One place in Saskatoon that currently isn’t looking for a future vendor to sell edible cannabis products is the Saskatoon Farmers’ Market.  Previously Erika Quiring, the operations manager at the Farmers’ Market said that the market would be open to vendors who would sell the product although since then the idea has been pushed aside and the main focus of the market continues to be on more traditional items including pastries and sausages.  Quiring says the market isn’t actively searching for a vendor to sell the product once it becomes available but one day down the road could look into possibly bringing in a vendor that sells the product but now is not the time.  The legalization of marijauna comes into effect on October 17th with the federal government planning to have edible cannabis products on the shelf sometime next year.
