Blades Open Regular Season in Swift Current

The 55th regular season of the Saskatoon Blades and the 53rd Western Hockey League campaign both start Friday night.

The Bridge City Bunch journeys to Swift Current where the Broncos will raise an Ed Chynoweth Cup Championship banner for the third time in franchise history before battling the Blue and Gold. Because they went “all in” last season to win, Swifty’s outlook isn’t nearly as bright this season while Saskatoon is looking to take the Broncos’ place in the post-season. Game time Friday is 7 p.m. with the broadcast on 98-COOL beginning at 6 with the Sardinia Family Restaurant pre-game show.
