Millions of dollars worth of construction projects are underway on Saskatchewan highways in the west central and central areas.
More than $90 million dollars in infrastructure projects are being spent on projects such as grading for future twinning of Highway 7 around Vanscoy, construction of new overpasses on Highways 11 and 12 near Martensville and Warman and seal coating near Glaslyn and Macklin. The government also reminds drivers to obey signs and reduce their speed to 60 kilometres per hour when traveling through a work zone.
A full list of highway projects happening in central and west central Saskatchewan are listed below:
-Construction on new passing lanes on Highway 4 between North Battleford and Cochin
-Grading for future twinning around Vanscoy on Highway 7
-Construction of new overpasses on Highways 11 and 12 near Martensville and Warman
-Surfacing on Highway 26 and several culvert installations between the Vawn access and Edam
-About 10 kilometres of surface improvements on Highway 51 about 10 kilometres west of the Highway 4 junction
-Seal coating near Glaslyn and Macklin
