What Saskatoon Police call an, “Alcohol fueled evening,” ended in an arrest yesterday (wed). Around 4:30 in the afternoon, police were called to an establishment on the 18 hundred block of Broadway. A woman had left without paying her rather hefty bar tab. But she did leave her purse and ID behind. About an hour later, an establishment on the three thousand block of Diefenbaker Drive called about a woman leaving without paying her tab. This time, her shoes were left behind. She was said to be driving a Mercedes eastbound on Diefenbaker Drive. Shortly after, a report came in of an accident at 11th Street and Circle Drive. The Mercedes in that case had hit a truck and left the scene. Officers found a Mercedes that hit a fence on 11th Street and Avenue W. A shoeless woman was standing next to the vehicle. The 35 year old from Prince Albert was arrested and faces charges that include impaired driving, driving while prohibited, and, ‘dine and dash,’ related charges. She is to be in court next month.
