A corn, soybean and dry bean field day will be held in Outlook this Thursday.
The regional crop specialist in Weyburn, Sherri Roberts, says the field day is limited to 50 people and producers who are interested in the one day event will be able to meet Doctor Dean Malvick from the University of Minnesota who is an expert on diseases in corn and soybeans.
The field day begins at 9 and runs until about 4 in the afternoon.
Roberts says during the day, those signed up will get on a bus with Dr. Malvick and look at fields in the area and he’ll teach producers about how to do good crop diagnostics in corn, drybeans and soybeans.
Those looking to sign up for Thursday’s field day can go to eventbrite’s website and type in corn and soybean field day to find the event.
Roberts adds there is a $50 fee to take part in the days events as well.
