Receiver-turned-cornerback Duron Carter may find himself in a different role, yet, on Saturday when the Saskatchewan Roughriders host Calgary.
Carter may replace the injured Derek Moncrief as the Green and White’s strong-side linebacker. So said Riders G-M and head coach Chris Jones following a closed practice Wednesday.
“We’ve been matching up. If you’ve watched really closely, he’s been at SAM before,” explained Jones. “We’re matching up on people so it’ll be interesting to see exactly where he ends up.”
Former N-F-L safety Mike Elam could, also, replace Moncrief, who was placed on the six-game injured list on Tuesday.
