Four Saskatchewan residents have been fined more than $14 thousand in total for wildlife violations. Ministry of Environment conservation officers began a two year investigation in Rowan’s Ravine in 2015. They were tipped to illegal hunting in the Raymore area after a call to the Turn in Poachers line. A second investigation was begun the next year after observing a moose hanging in a Farm yard. 67 year old Ronald Coleman of Quinton was found guilty on three charges of unlawfully hunting and possessing moose. 45 year old Horace Reid of Lanigan was found guilty of one charge of unlawful possession of moose. 42 year old Jackson Bell of La Ronge was found guilty of unlawfully hunting moose. And 28 year old Mervin Poorman of the Kawacatoose First Nation was found guilty in default of unlawfully hunting moose.
