The relationship between Canada and the U-S might be strained right now because of the tariffs war going on between the two, but the business relationship between Saskatchewan and North Dakota remains strong. That is how Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce CEO Steve McLellan is feeling after meeting with representatives from their North Dakota counterpart including the cities of Minot, Bismarck and Grand Forks. McLellan says both realize how important they are to one another and that his intent is to now foster and enhance relationships with other states like Montana, South Dakota and Minnesota. In Saskatchewan, exports to North Dakota totalled more than $518 million in 2017 with the province importing nearly $1.6 billion from them over the same time frame.
