The City of Saskatoon is reminding people ahead of a possible severe thunderstorm late tonight (Fri) to avoid driving or wading through flooded areas.
Environment Canada has reported there is the possibility of a severe thunderstorm tonight, with the City on the edge of a storm cell.
Heavy downpours can cause flash floods, water pooling on the roads and flooding in low lying areas.
If you drive or wade through flooded areas, you may come upon hidden dangers such as open manholes or downed power lines.
Known intersections to avoid include Confederation Drive and Laurier Drive and also Idylwyld Drive under the Circle Drive overpass.
