Regina Police say they will be helping out and taking part in the Tamra Keepness Barbeque in Regina Thursday. The barbeque is being held at the Core Community park from noon until 3 p.m. Regina Police Service says there will be a number of their sworn and civilian employees at the barbeque to support the family of Tamra Keepness.
It has been almost 14 years since the disappearance of then five year old Tamra Jewel Keeepness. From all accounts she was last seen in her home in the 1800 block of Ottawa Street in Regina the night of July 5th, 2004. She was reported missing on July 6th, 2004. Her disappearance sparked an intensive ground search and the investigation continues.
One week after her disappearance, a 25-thousand dollar reward was announced by the Regina Board of Police commissioners for information leading to her recovery. That reward was doubled in June of 2014, 10 years after her disappearance, and remains in effect to this day. The Regina Police Service says it remains committed to solving this case.
