Rocky Mountain Equipment (RME) is expanding its Saskatchewan network with the purchase of John Bob Farm Equipment.

John Bob Farm Equipment has locations in Outlook and Tisdale.

“We’ve been there 38 years,” says founder John McShannock. “We enjoyed it very much and were treated well by our customer base.”

Rocky Mountain Equipment has 36 dealerships in Western Canada, but was looking to beef up its presence in Saskatchewan.

“It’s the breadbasket of Canada,” says Jim Wood, RME chief sales and operating officer. “We didn’t have much of a footprint there, so we were pretty excited when we had the opportunity to grow with the New Holland brand in Outlook and Tisdale.”

The other four RME dealerships in Saskatchewan are located at Kindersley, Preeceville, Yorkton and Moosomin. There are 19 locations in Alberta and 11 in Manitoba.
