Last night around 6:30, emergency crews responded to the scene of a car and pedestrian collision that happened at the intersection of 22nd Street and Avenue W.
A 56 year old woman was walking in the crosswalk when she was struck by a vehicle.
The woman was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The car fled the scene and police are investigating the incident.
Traffic was restricted in the area for sometime and has since returned to normal.
