404 impaired drivers were pulled over in Saskatchewan last month, and police laid 352 criminal charges. May’s SGI traffic safety focus was on impaired driving, and spokesman Tyler McMurchy says with marijuana becoming legal in October, laws will remain the same when it comes to being impaired while driving. As well, police handed out 544 tickets for distracted driving, 445 offences regarding seat belts or child car seats, and more than 6,000 for speeding or aggressive driving.
