Summer arrived in Saskatchewan at 4:07 this morning.
Environment Canada senior meteorologist Dave Phillips says we’ve seen yesterday, today and we will enjoy again tomorrow, where temperatures rose above 30 degrees celsius will continue. He also points out there was weather like that in May as well.
“I think that’s the flavour, the personality of what we think the rest of the summer is going to be.”
As for precipitation, he says there was an improvement in June, but says 25 millimeters a week is needed through the growing season to help crops develop. (CJGX)
