The Chief of the Federation of Sovereign Indian Nations is outraged by the way the government and police have handled the situation with the protest camp outside of the Legislature in Regina.
The protesters have been asking for the government to honour the treaty rights of First Nations children.
Bobby Cameron says the current child welfare system is failing, with a disproportionate number of Indigenous children in care.
Regina Police removed six protesters from a teepee on the Legislative grounds on Monday.
Cameron noted the five women and one man were ousted just days before National Indigenous Peoples Day, which is Thursday.
The protesters have been camped outside the Legislature since after the Gerald Stanley 2nd degree murder case, where he was found not guilty in the death of Colten Boushie.
