Two men, aged 26 and 23, are in North Battleford Provincial Court this morning facing 8 charges including Pointing a Firearm and Assault with a Weapon. RCMP were called to the Saulteaux First Nation on Saturday evening shortly after 6 pm to a report of two men pointing a gun at another person. No shots were fired and no one was injured. A suspect vehicle was tracked down heading into North Battleford and two women inside were taken into custody but later released without charges however a consequent search of a rural area, a couple hours later, just west of North Battleford resulted in two suspects being arrested in a field. A sawed off .22 calibre rifle was recovered as well.
