Estevan’s mayor is thanking SaskPower for getting the lights on as quickly as possible in his city and the surrounding area after yesterday afternoon’s [thurs] storm that pounded the southeast corner. Roy Ludwig says they are especially grateful to SaskPower considering the Boundary Dam station took a big hit from the storm. Ludwig says the hail which came down was a bigger problem than the rain, although, he says a few basements flooded. The hail ranged from marble to tennis ball sized. Ludwig says many spent the night, and this morning, surveying their property to see what damage was done.
