The case of a missing cell phone and trying to retrieve that phone led to the arrest of two men in connection to a break-in at a Lumsden school Saturday morning around 1:30.
RCMP say a security alarm was tripped so officers responded and found a man in the school area.
He was known to police, but denied being involved and was released so they could examine scene.
Several hours later, an officer from the Forensic Identification Unit attended arrived at the school and witnessed a man crawling down from the roof.
It turned out to be the same man who had been detained earlier.
Police say he explained that he had to come back to find his cell phone, which he had dropped during his first ‘visit’.
After further investigation, a second man was also arrested and a small number of tools and power tools were recovered and returned to the school.
Both are charged with break and enter and theft.
