Rural Crimes have kept RCMP busy. Early Wednesday morning there was a home invasion at a residence in Rhein. The Yorkton Rural Detachment says armed and masked thieves assaulted the male inside the residence and made off with cash, firearms and other goods. The victim was taken to hospital after he was assaulted. You can contact Yorkton Rural Detachment or Crime Stoppers if you have any information.
Last Saturday, two people were arrested at a resident on the Big River First Nation in relation to a home invasion three kilometers south of Debden the day before. In that incident, the property owner gave chase after the suspects fled and shots were fired in his direction.
And, last Thursday, two suspects were in a rural property multiple times stealing gasoline, jerry cans, and cheques. In the days following, the cheques were used in the community of Shellbrook. Anyone with information in that case is asked to contact Shellbrook RCMP or Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.
