The Minister Responsible for SGI says people in rural Saskatchewan should seek alternative modes of transportation. Joe Hargrave says it was a tough decision to shut down the Saskatchewan Transportation Company, but it was necessary as it didn’t service half the province. He says there’s plenty of options residents can explore to fill the gap left by STC. He says community groups might consider buying a van and working with other communities. He suggests people find out what people are doing in other provinces. NDP Critic Trent Wotherspoon says the Sask Party still does not understand STC’s importance in rural and remote communities.
