A new memorial to be established on the north lawn of City Hall has been given the green light by City Councillors.
The memorial will hold engraved names of all those killed by impaired drivers in Saskatchewan.
Originally the plan was to construct the memorial in Kiwanis Park however discussions between the city and MADD Canada determined that the north lawn of City Hall would provide families and friends a quieter and less busy location to visit.
An agreement between the city and MADD Canada will be prepared for the design and installation of the memorial.
