A 22 year old Saskatoon man is charged with eight firearms related offenses and breach of probation after trying to flee from police.
Police say he tried to get away on his bicycle late Tuesday afternoon after being told to stop at the intersection of 20th Street West and Avenue W South.
The man who was wanted by police, abandoned his bike and backpack in the 200-block of Whitney Avenue South and was caught after returning for the backpack and running into a backyard.
Police say they found a can of bear spray and a sawed off rifle as well as ammunition.
