The arrest of two men Monday may have solved not one but several break-ins in the Debden area.
Big River RCMP say property owners confronted two men who were in their farmyard about 8 kilometres west of Debden shortly before noon. The suspects fled into a nearby wooded area.
Big River and Spiritwood RCMP with help from Meadow Lake RCMP Police Dog Services as well as a Saskatchewan Ministry of Environment Officer, all responded. An aerial drone was also deployed. Two men were located and arrested at 2:30 Monday afternoon at a home on the Big River First Nation.
18 year old Kevin Starblanket and 19 year old Skylar Lachance face multiple charges in relation to stolen property involving three incidents in the Village of Debden and the RM of Canwood. They are in Prince Albert court today (weds).
