A 34 year old man is facing numerous charges after refusing to stop for police this morning (wed). Around 1:30 a.m., police tried to conduct a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle at Avenue D and 31st Street but the driver refused to stop. Officers in the police plane directed officers on the ground to set up a tire deflation device which was successful. The vehicle was found abandoned at 47th Street and Hangar Road. Two people were locate and arrested. The driver’s charges include Impaired Driving, Dangerous Driving, and Failing to Stop for Police. He is to be in court tomorrow. The 20 year old passenger was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
