The Canada Border Services Agency is expecting higher amounts of traffic throughout the Victoria Day long weekend particularly tomorrow and Monday.
The North Portal port located southeast of Estevan is open 24-7 and has the greatest capacity to process a large number of travelers. Other border crossings including Regway, Estevan Highway, Carievale, and Climax are also expected to be busy during weekend.
Some tips for crossing the border include beating the rush at the border, keeping your travel documents handy, know your purchases and where your receipts are, and knowing the contents of your vehicle.
Last May long weekend, CBSA officers in southern Saskatchewan processed approximately 7 thousand travelers.
