Retail sales in Saskatchewan were off 1.8 per cent February to March. Statistics Canada says only Nova Scotia, Saskatchewan, and Prince Edward Island recorded declines. Nova Scotia had a larger drop than ours, falling 2.6 per cent. The national average was a marginal rise of 0.6 per cent. Compared to March 2017, sales here were down 6.4 per cent. Manitoba was the only other province that saw an annual drop. Theirs was 0.3 per cent. The national average was a rise of 4.1 per cent. Retail sales in Saskatchewan in March came in at $1.6 billion.
