Police believe the victim was also the suspect and report that the shotgun accidentally discharged while the 40 year old was allegedly attempting a home invasion, shooting himself in the leg. He was taken to hospital with non life threatening injuries and then released back into police custody where he is now facing multiple firearms related charges and a break and enter charge. The incident is not believed to have been random. There were 2 other men in the house and the door to the home was broken.
