Last Friday night, a 10 month old pit bull/labrador cross was able to wrangle his way out of a chain-link, locked kennel at the pound and then he somehow was able to jump on the latch and get out the exterior door as well.
While his tenacity is admirable, he is at large and the Saskatoon SPCA and his owner are hoping to get the word out so he can be found.
Executive Director Patricia Cameron says there have been a few tips about sightings of George, but so far he hasn’t been found.
She wonders if he has been taken in by someone who is unaware that he already has a home.
The Saskatoon SPCA is now adding a second lock on the kennels and will be moving the locking mechanism on the exterior door higher up so it will be out of reach to dogs but still accessible for humans.
