Corman Park is one of 11 rural municipalities receiving funding from a $14 million provincial program to repair roads impacted by increased truck traffic.
The Municipal Roads for the Economy Program (MREP) is administered by the Saskatchewan Association of Rural Municipalities (SARM). MREP provides grants that covers a portion of the road, bridge and culvert costs. Provincial funding remains the same as last year.
The R.M. of Corman Park, which surrounds Saskatoon, is repairing 2.4 kilometres of heavy traffic road south of Warman and east of Martensville. The $750,000 grant will help Corman Park pay for the $3.2 million project.
