Three campgrounds are opening early this year. Two are in Echo Valley Provincial Park and one is in Saskatchewan Landing Provincial Park. They are going to be opening next Thursday. That’s a week early. Parks Minister Gene Makowsky says, “After a long winter, many campers are looking forward to getting out to the parks.” Registration is on a first-come, first-serve self-registration basis. There are reduced nightly fees and free park entry until May 17th. There will be reduced services with some facilities not open during the week.
Once the park opens for regular nightly camping on the 17th, campers will need to reserve their site online if they wish to extend their stay.
