The Federal and Provincial governments have gotten together to fund a pilot project for pre-kindergarten students who need extra support. Additional educational assistants are being hired to make classrooms more inclusive and responsive to children who need extra attention. Officials say some of those kids come from vulnerable living conditions.
The program is already underway in Saskatoon with space for an expected 56 students next fall.
