Depending on what numbers you crunch, you can have a completely different view on job growth for Saskatchewan, and that was the case in Tuesday’s Question Period.
Jobs critic Vicki Mowat says a recent Statistics Canada report has the province as second last for job growth and since this time last year, weekly earnings grew by just 1.6 per cent as opposed to 3 per cent in British Columbia and 4.3 per cent in Alberta.
Trade minister Jeremy Harrison countered that over the past decade, average weekly earnings have jumped 38 per cent, the second highest increase of the provinces.
He adds that Saskatchewan has also seen the second highest job creation as well. (CKRM)
